NHQHA is an affiliate (club) of the American Quarter Horse Association in Amarillo, Texas. The AQHA is the largest breed registry in the world with more than 50,000 horses registered each year and membership figures for 2005 of 350,000. The AQHA goal is based on increasing membership by the marketing, promoting and advertising for and with affiliates and the American Quarter Horse Association. There are more than 3,500,000 American Quarter Horses in the world.
The NHQHA was chartered in February of 1969, and has been a working, viable affiliate every year. The mission of the NHQHA is to promote the American Quarter Horse in NH. The affiliate also develops and hosts educational seminars, horse shows, recreational riding & clinics to enhance the growth and knowledge of members and the public.
NHQHA provides members with opportunities to enjoy the Quarter Horse while encouraging a fun and informative social structure. Membership affords access to the web site, the newsletter, AQHA shows, Novice & Open Shows, Trail Rides, Clinics, voting rights, annual meeting, & the annual awards banquet.
The New Hampshire Quarter Horse Association offers members a complete slate of activities that they can compete in.
