Wishful Thinking Farm provides boarding, retirement, lessons, training,,sales and leasing.
Boarding
Full Board : (All day turnout - individual or group, unlimited access to indoor and outdoor arenas, 11x11 matted box stalls or run-in sheds(your choice), free choice grass hay, 4 different feed types catering to individual needs, blanket changing, fly spray/mask and protective leg gear put on/off. Heated buckets inside and out during winter.
Retirement: the retirement program is very special. Our program is a boarding option. All ownership of your horse is retained, as opposed to some facilities who require that the horse gets signed over to the farm. The barn is a very active show barn with lots of activity. Something that most show horses miss when retired to a quiet retirement facility. The horses spend their days grazing in 40 acres of pasture . The horses in Wishful Thinking's care become part of their family. They love what they do and pride themselves on the knowledge and the attention they give each horse. The farm treats the retirees with the same respect as their younger/more able bodied barn mates, if not more.
Lessons and Training : The Farm offers Hunt Seat riding lessons with a strong focus on equitation . Beginners are required to take private lessons until they are capable of steering and trotting safely. Both indoor and outdoor arenas are 100x200, complete with jump courses . The rings are dragged and picked out as needed to keep the footing at optimal performance levels for your horse.
