3rd ANNUAL BENEFIT TRAIL RIDE & DRIVE

Saturday Oct 1st - Sunday Oct 2nd, 2011 in Marshfield, Vermont

Enjoy the thrill of a day on your favorite horse enjoying that special connection with your equine buddy, all while helping to support Rhythm of the Rein’s efforts in bringing this same connection you enjoy to people with disabilities. Help those who would otherwise not have the opportunity experience the many physical, mental, emotional and social benefits derived from Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies.
Since Rhythm of the Rein is funded primarily by donations, this benefit ride is one of our major fundraising events. Money is raised by riders bringing in pledges from friends, family, and businesses who agree to sponsor their ride. All donations are tax deductible.

ABOUT THE EVENT – SATURDAY WILL BE THE SPONSORED RIDE - Enjoy Vermont’s peak foliage season with a short loop ride or a longer loop ride. Maps will be provided at check in, and check points along the way will help in case of emergencies and to have water available for horses and riders. Riders should plan on starting out between 9 and 10 am. At the end of the ride join us all for a great evening barbeque and live band. Our host site again this year has been graciously donated by the Groton Forest Road Campground on route 232 in Marshfield. They have plenty of room for portable corrals and welcome as many people as want to come! Sunday is ride on your own.

There will be prizes for the most pledges raised for adult and youth rider categories.

The ride will be held rain or shine. Light snacks and drinks will be available during the ride, but bring your appetite for the meal after!

ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR ASTM/SEI APPROVED HELMETS DURING THE RIDE. All releases and health requirements must be presented before the ride.

OVERNIGHT ACCOMODATIONS - Stabling is also available at Water Tower Farm,
386 US Rt 2 Marshfield & there is room for self contained campers.
