Horseback Riding Summer Day Camp

Each week emphasizes a certain "level" of rider.  Sue has designed a program consisting of five "Levels" in which the campers learn about proper horsemanship and develop their riding skills.  Every attempt will be made to place campers in sessions with others at similar levels.

On the first day of camp each camper receives a notebook containing all the information they need to learn in order to complete the level. Throughout the week the campers practice and study the given skills.

Each camper is assigned a "horse of their own" for the week.  The camper is responsible for the general care of their horse such as grooming, tacking, bathing, watering, and preparing meals.  Stall cleaning is optional.

On Friday afternoon, the campers present to parents and relatives a riding "show" that they have designed to demonstrate what they learned during the week.  Following the show is a graduation ceremony for those campers who were able to complete the requirements of their level.
