We promote our cowboy heritage through competition, costume & camaraderie, focusing on safety, friends & fun. We have members from Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire.
N6S is a family club. Riders compete in divisions with special rules for younger riders. Winners have the opportunity to advance and take home bragging rights (until next time!) Last year, there were 15+ regional shoots in the Northeast.
Six Shooters belongs to CMSA (The Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association) which coordinates competitions across the country & tracks points that may qualify you for national events.
N6S runs clinics that introduce riders to mounted shooting, gun safety and horse training. Take a clinic, work with your horse during the winter, and you'll be hooked
N6S members practice weekly (during warm weather) at our home base, Goss Farm in Dunstable, MA. Our 175 x 300’ sand-base arena is a great place to develop rider & pony skills! We ask our members to help maintain our beautiful arena and patronize our generous sponsor.
Multi-day shoots also offer a chance to enjoy cowboy hospitality from the back of your trailer. We share food, stories & the occasional camp fire.
N6S takes road trips! Members competed in North Carolina and Virginia this past year. Members also: rope, sort, and pen cattle; play gymkana and versatility games; do dressage, stadium jumping and eventing; and enjoy plain ol' trail rides. When we’re done, a bunch of happy cowboys arrive home tired & smiling.
