CT Ride for the Cure Celebrates 10th Anniversary On October 3, the 10th annual Ride for the Cure will be held at Tyrone Farm in Pomfret, CT. The Ride is one of Connecticut’s premiere equestrian events and has raised over $700,000 to support the work of the CT Susan Komen for the Cure Foundation and their work towards a world without breast cancer. Registered riders enjoy a beautiful, private equestrian course which can be ridden for the challenge of its jumps or as a relaxed trail ride. Lunch is provided, as are gift bags full of horse and rider treats. Door prizes and rider awards part of the day and this year’s platinum rider will receive a custom portrait of their horse by equestrian artist Betsey MacDonald. The First Company of the Governor’s Horse Guard plans to join the fun for the third year both on the trail and in demonstrations.
