The object of this Association:

• to encourage horseback riding in the state of Maine
  
• to map, mark and develop horse trails throughout the state
  
• to issue, when they may be needed, trail guide books, maps and calendars of equestrian events.
  
• to encourage and aid in the breeding and use of saddle horses, hacks, hunters, polo ponies and harness and draft horses
  
• to encourage and aid in the planning of trail rides and the promoting of horse shows, riding clubs and other equestrian activities.
