Ambleside Farm is home to Thoroughbred broodmares and a host of other animals. As well as the mares and their warmblood foals bred as sporthorses, the farm has retired and rescued horses and young stock. Their companions are exotic chickens, guinea fowl, peafowl, swans, unusual ducks and a herd of free range guinea pigs!
In addition to breeding horses, Labrador Retrievers are often offered for sale Ambleside farm also holds agritourism workshops, right on the property, with a studio accommodation overlooking the pasture. Ambleside farm offers trail rides (on horseback) up the mountain .These are for advanced riders only, by reservation, and last an hour . Because of the terrain, they are mostly walking, some steep trails, and some trotting. $20 per person. Riders must wear protective headgear...
